Since July 2006 the use of a tide-independent floating dock in the “New Fishing Port”complements the offering of our company. It can handle ships with a weight of up to 1000 tons, a maximum length of 66 meters and a width of 12 meters. This additional dock operation in Cuxhaven does not only serve the purpose to stabilize the performance of our company but also allows us to keep contracts/orders in Cuxhaven that otherwise would have to be served by other harbor locations. Especially a floating dock for water vehicles like tugboats, coastal tankers, water vehicles of public authorities, fishing-vessels and smaller passenger vessels was missing in the past.
